Welcome to Lapland! You will be greeted at the airport with a hotel sign and transferred to Wilderness Hotel Inari (approx. 35 min). Upon arrival, you will receive your program schedule before dinner. Depending on your arrival time, cold weather gear will be given to you either upon arrival or the next day.
This day is all about the local winter fun – snowmobiling in the wilderness! Guide will teach you how to cope with these powerful machines, and after a full safety and driving lesson you will head out to the wilderness. Snowmobiling through white winter scenery is a breathtaking experience that will last for a lifetime. During the day, there will be a tasty outdoor lunch by the open fire.
Meeting a local reindeer herder with his peaceful reindeer is one of the top memories for our visitors. At the reindeer farm you will learn interesting information about the reindeer and the life of a reindeer herder. This guided trip will be done by car.
Husky safari is a ‘must do’ experience when visiting Lapland. You will be taught how to handle the sled before you head out for the husky safari, where the huskies will pull your sled through the beautiful winter scenery. Enjoy the excitement of the dogs before the start, and the serene silence once they get to do what they love – run in the snowy scenery. The musher will also show you around the husky farm during your visit.
All our husky safaris are based on two people sharing a sled(unless otherwise stated). First one guest is mushing and the other one is sitting in the sleigh. Positions will be changed halfway.
Snowshoeing in the Winter Wonderland is something to really enjoy! Quietness of the woods and white snow around you gives you a magical feeling you’ll never forget. During the trip, the guide will share interesting stories and information about Finnish nature and animals. On the way, we will stop to enjoy lunch and warm drinks by the open fire. This trip is perfect for photographers and nature lovers, as snowshoeing is a true eco-activity!
Siida museum is located in Inari village. During this guided trip you will get familiar with the rich and varied history of the Sámi people and their role in modern day Lapland as well as Northern Lapland’s nature. There is also a wonderful gift shop selling handmade products to take back home as souvenirs or presents.
Ice fishing done in traditional Finnish way; does it get any better? Spend the day outdoors and learn how the fishing during winter is done. You will learn interesting facts about the life up in the North. We will have a nice snowmobile sleigh ride to the best ice fishing spots. Our guide will teach us how to make some holes through the ice, and then we try and see who the best fisher is. Day includes a tasty lunch by open fire.
Experience the amazing atmosphere of old forests on this relaxing snowshoe walk to the aurora camp spot. Walking in the dark forests companied by the light of the moon and dance of the northern lights is unforgettable. Warm up by the campfire and wait for the auroras to show up, while warm drinks are prepared on the open fire.
This trip takes you to one of our specifically chosen camp spots, where we will try to catch the northern lights. You will be comfortably seated in a sledge, pulled by a guide’s snowmobile. We will have open fire and warm drinks while waiting for the sky to show its magic.
Night time snowmobiling is exhilarating experience. We will head out in search of good location, trying to spot some Aurora Borealis. If the northern lights appear, we will stop and admire the show. We will also have warm drinks to keep us warm and comfortable during the activity.
Our expert guides will tell you everything you need to know about northern lights. Guides will give you a simple overview of the science behind this phenomenon. You can take your own camera with you and get the setting optimised for photographing northern lights.

Snowmobile safaris are based on 2 persons sharing one snowmobile.
If there is a party with an uneven number of travelers, everyone will still be on shared snowmobiles, unless single drive supplement is paid. (100€/person for max. 3h tours, 200€/person for 4–6 h tours)
Minimum age of 18 years and a valid driving license is required to drive a snowmobile during activities. Self-liability fee (own risk) is 1000 €/snowmobile in case of an accident.
During snowmobile tours children under 15 years are sitting in a sleigh.
During Husky Safari, the guests are driving the husky sleds by themselves and normally two persons are sharing one husky team (with switching driver on half way).
