Holiday Program

Day 1. Arrival

Welcome to Lapland! You will be greeted at the airport with a hotel sign and transferred to Wilderness Hotel Inari (approx. 35 min). Upon arrival, you will receive your program schedule before dinner.

Day 2-3 Summer Activities

Inari Day: Hiking trip to Juutua river and visit to Siida

After a delightful breakfast, it's time to enjoy the fresh summer air with a scenic hike along the Juutua River. We'll visit the Jäniskoski rapids and enjoy a lovely outdoor lunch by the fire. Following our hike, we'll explore the Siida - Sami Museum and Nature Center, which features both indoor and outdoor exhibits full of information about Sámi culture, history, and the northern nature. After our visit to Siida, we'll take a charming sightseeing tour around Inari village before heading back to the hotel. The parish village of Inari is the heart of Finland’s Sámi culture, captivating visitors and locals alike with its unique wild nature and diverse cultures.

Lake Inari Cruise

Experience the beauty of the largest lake of Lapland, home to over 3300 islands, with our Lake Inari Cruise. We'll cruise around the sacred Ukko Island (or Ukko’s Rock), historically used as a Sámi sacrificial offering site until the 19th century, and admire its spectacular beauty from a short distance. A packed lunch will be provided for the day.

Day 4. Departure

It’s time to say goodbye to the Wilderness Hotel. Breakfast and airport transfer back to Ivalo airport.
