If you wish to use air transportation, we recommend to take a flight to Ivalo Airport. The flight between Helsinki and Ivalo is approximately 1,5 hours. Finnair operates between Helsinki and Ivalo all year round.
Transfer from Ivalo Airport to Muotka takes approximately 45 minutes. We arrange transportation services between Ivalo Airport and Muotka. You can check the rates and make a booking in our online store (Book Activities -> Enhance Your Stay -> Transfer Ivalo Airport to Wilderness Hotel Muotka) or via email: sales@wildernesshotels.fi.
If you wish to use land transportation, we recommend to take a train from Helsinki to Rovaniemi and then a public bus from Rovaniemi to Muotka (Kakslauttanen bus stop). The train from Helsinki to Rovaniemi takes about 12 hours and the bus from Rovaniemi to Muotka about 4 hours. Please note, that the bus does not take you all the way to Muotka, and you will still need to book a transfer service or taxi from the bus stop to the hotel. You can check the train schedules from www.vr.fi and the bus schedule from www.matkahuolto.fi.
