1st April - 27th November 2025.
Welcome to Lapland! You will be greeted at the airport with a hotel sign and transferred to Wilderness Hotel Nangu (approx. 35 min). Upon arrival, you will receive your program schedule before dinner. Depending on your arrival time, cold weather gear will be given to you either upon arrival or the next day.
Snowmobiling is the best way to truly explore the wilderness. After a driving lesson, we'll head off on an exciting snowmobiling day that will take us through Lapland landscapes into untouched wilderness surroundings. We'll enjoy a lunch and warm drinks, making the day even more special.
We will head for an exciting adventure where you'll meet the iconics animals of the Arctic. Experience the magic of meeting reindeer, where you’ll have the unique opportunity to feed and interact with these gentle animals while learning about their importance in the culture and traditions of the indigenous Sámi people. Listen to captivating stories about the reindeer’s role in Arctic life and immerse yourself in the rich heritage of the North. You'll also receive a quick lesson on sledding before embarking on a thrilling Husky Safari. The huskies will pull your sled through beautiful winter landscapes, such as lakes or forests. Feel the excitement of the dogs and enjoy the peacefulness of the snowy trails. We'll take a break for a delicious lunch during the day. This full-day adventure is perfect for experiencing the best of Lapland's nature and culture.
We'll equip you with snowshoes and poles if you prefer. Together, we'll head out for a peaceful walk through the stunning winter landscape. Along the way, our friendly guide will share fascinating stories and information about Finnish nature and wildlife. It's a wonderful way to explore the surroundings at a relaxed pace.
We'll start with a cozy sleigh ride pulled by our guide's snowmobile, taking you through the stunning Arctic landscapes to our favorite spot for viewing the Northern Lights. Once we arrive at the campsite, you'll get to enjoy hot drinks and great company while you gaze at the northern sky. Because there won’t be any light pollution, our camp spots are one of the best places to catch the Auroras!
Night-time snowmobiling is an exhilarating experience, and if we're lucky, we'll see the Northern Lights dancing in the sky. We'll head to open spots where the chances of seeing the Aurora are the highest. The driving distance depends on the weather conditions; if the sky looks promising, we'll stop and admire this beautiful show. We'll have a break to a campfire and enjoy warm drinks and each other’s company.
After breakfast, you'll be transferred to Ivalo Airport. It’s time to say goodbye to Wilderness Hotel Nangu and head towards new adventures. We hope you had the best holiday with us in Lapland and wish to see you again!
