Program

Day 1. Arrival

Arrival to Ivalo Airport and transfer to Wilderness Hotel Juutua (approx. 45 min). Enjoy a welcome dinner and settle in your accommodation. Depending on your arrival time, cold weather gear is given to you either upon arrival or the next day.

Day 2. Activities

Breakfast at the hotel.

Winter walk to Jäniskoski rapid

We will head to beautiful Jänisköski rapid which is one of the 10 rapids at Juutua river and the biggest one of them. There is about 1km walk to the camp spot and this trip is suitable for everyone. During this trip you will learn about the river Juutua which is important part of Inari Sámi Culture and other interesting facts about the locals and they locals' way of living. We will enjoy warm drinks and grill together sausages at nice camp spot while listening the sound of running water.

Lunch at the hotel.

Husky Safari

Husky Safari will take you through lakes and forests and it is a ‘must do’ experience when visiting Lapland. You will be taught how to handle the sled before you head out for the husky safari, where the huskies will pull your sled through the beautiful winter scenery. Enjoy the excitement of the dogs before the start, and the serene silence once they get to do what they love – run in the snowy scenery. All husky safaris run so that one guest is mushing and the other one is sitting in the sleigh. Rates are based on two people sharing sled unless otherwise stated. Positions will be changed halfway.

Dinner at the hotel.

Aurora Camp

Admire the Northern Lights while you are comfortably seated in a sleigh pulled by the snowmobile. We will head to the Aurora hunting on the amazing Lake Inari. You can enjoy the northern sky all the way to the campsite. The atmosphere by the campfire is an experience in itself. We will enjoy the blazing campfire with hot drinks and each other’s company. PRO TIP! Lake Inari is one of the best places in the world for Aurora viewing since there is no light pollution at all.

Day 3. Departure

Breakfast and airport transfer.

Car park is free of charge to all hotel guests - space reservation is not required.

Cancellation

This reservation can be cancelled without costs until 90 days before arrival. In such case the amount paid will be refunded within 7 days after cancellation was submitted. If cancellation is submitted after this time or guest will not show at all, the property will charge 100% of the reservation value. It is required to provide credit card information and make the payment of 100% of the reservation value to guarantee the reservation.
