Holiday Program
Day 1. Arrival
Welcome to Lapland! You will be greeted at the airport with a hotel sign and transferred to Wilderness Hotel Juutua (approx. 45 min). Upon arrival, you will receive your program schedule before dinner. Depending on your arrival time, cold weather gear will be given to you either upon arrival or the next day.
Day 2. Activities
Meet the reindeer - 2hrs
Ever wondered what it's like to be a reindeer herder? Join us for a fun and informative tour where you'll get to meet these amazing animals up close. Our friendly guide will share stories about the Sámi culture and the important role reindeer play in the North. You'll even get a chance to feed them, they might come right up and eat out of your hand! Join us for this unique way to learn more about Northern Lapland culture.
Visit to SIIDA - Sámi Museum and Nature Centre - 3hrs*
Very well-known SIIDA - Sámi Museum and Nature Centre is your guide to Sámi Culture and northern nature. You will get familiar with the rich and varied history of the Sámi people and their role in modern day Lapland also you will see all the 8 seasons of Lapland and see the wonders of Arctic Nature. There is also a wonderful gift shop selling handmade products to take back home as souvenirs or presents.
*Please note! If the museum is closed and the visit cannot be arranged, the activity will be replaced with Winter walk to Jäniskoski rapids.
Five course dinner in restaurant Aanaar
Enjoy a tasteful five course menu in our Aanaar restaurant. Taste Lapland’s seasons with a view to the rapids of River Juutua.
Day 3. Departure
After breakfast, you'll be transferred to Ivalo Airport. It’s time to say goodbye to Wilderness Hotel Juutua and head towards new adventures. We hope you had the best holiday with us in Lapland and wish to see you again!
