Day 2.-3. Activities
Family Husky Safari
You will be taught how to handle the sled before you head out for the husky safari, where the huskies will pull your sled through the beautiful winter scenery.
The dogs’ excitement is infectious and as the animals fall silent on the trail, you will realize that this is the only way to see Lapland. All of our husky safaris include full instruction and are based on two people sharing a sled unless otherwise stated.
Meet the reindeer
On this visit you will meet reindeer and their herder. You will learn about the importance of reindeer in Lapland. The curious animals might even come up and eat out of your hand.
Snowmobile safari
This tour is perfect for those who have never tried snowmobiling before. First you will get familiar with the snowmobile, have full safety instructions and a driving lesson. After everyone feels comfortable, we will head out for a small journey into the nearby surroundings trough the beautiful taiga forest. Children are sitting nicely in the sleigh behind the guide's snowmobile.
Aurora Camp
This activity takes you to the amazing surroundings of Muotka. You will be comfortably seated in a sledge that is pulled by the guide’s snowmobile. This way you can enjoy the northern sky all the way to the camp site. At the camp there is a hut with an open fire to warm us up on a cold night of Aurora hunting. Your guide will also serve warm drinks to keep you heated and cozy we will also make some nice pancakes by the fire. The camp has a minimum amount of light pollution, so it is perfect for viewing the Northern Lights that will hopefully show up in the sky.
Meet Santa
Private meeting with Santa Claus in his secret place deep in the forest! You will have some time to have a nice chat with Santa, who gives a small present for children. A snowmobile sleighride will take you through the forest to Santa's place.
Day 4. Departure
After breakfast you will be transferred back to Ivalo airport. Time to say farewell to Lapland!
