Holiday Program
Day 1. Arrival Day
Welcome to Lapland! You will be greeted at the airport with a hotel sign and transferred to Wilderness Hotel Kieppi (approx. 35 min). Upon arrival, you will receive your program schedule before dinner. Depending on the season and your arrival time, cold weather gear will be given to you either upon arrival or the next day.
Days 2.-7. Arctic Activities
Husky Farm Visit (2hrs)
This trip will take you to visit lovely husky dogs. These hard-working dogs are made for the winter but during summer training is important. We will take you to our Husky farm from where you will hear about huskies and their life here in the North. If we are lucky there are also some puppies to see at the farm.
UKK National Park Hiking Day (4hrs)
Embark on a guided hike through the stunning landscapes of Urho Kekkonen National Park, one of Finland’s most iconic wilderness areas. Your guide will select the most suitable route based on current weather and trail conditions. Expect a moderate hike through fells and tundra, with opportunities to learn about the unique nature and wildlife of the region. A delicious outdoor lunch will be served during the hike.
Tankavaara Goldrush (5hrs)
Step back in time and immerse yourself in the captivating world of gold mining with a visit to the Gold museum, followed by a guided hike in the surrouding wilderness. The highlight of your day: Gold panning including all necessary equipment. Plus any gold you find is yours to keep. Lunch will served during the day.
E-fatbike Experience (3hrs)
Discover the Finnish trails and forests in an environmentally friendly way. We'll head out to explore the biking trails leading to the beautiful surroundings of Northern Lapland. With electric fatbikes, you can easily reach stunning landscapes that would be difficult or time consuming to access otherwise. (not suitable for children under 12 years old *)
Day 8. Departure Day
After breakfast you're transferred to Ivalo airport. It's time to say goodbye to Wilderness Hotel Kieppi and head towards new adventures.

* Please note that E-fatbike activities are not suitable for children under 12 years of age. If you are booking this package for a family with younger children, let us know. We’ll be happy to adjust the itinerary with a more suitable activity.
